Non-Winter Activities

If you love to walk, there are numerous hiking day trips. For example from Thredbo to Mount Kosciusko, or Charlotte Pass to the Blue Lake, Australia’s highest glacial lake
Wander along the Thredbo river on one of numerous walking trails
Visit the Kiandra Ghost Town at the northern end of Kosciusko National Park
Hire a bike and explore the many bicycle trails along the shores of Lake Jindabyne
Hire a catamaran or kayak and explore the area from the cool crisp waters
Go horse riding on a famous Snowy Mountains brumby

Winter Activities

Thredbo is home to Australia’s 5 longest ski runs, each over 3 kilometres. Terrains vary, and any skill level can enjoy an exciting day on the slopes
You can go tubing, tobogganing, indulge in some snow play or snowman building
Look to the skies and the Supertrail for one of Thredbo’s finest traditions, the flare run and fireworks display. It lights up the village on Saturday nights and it’s a sure fire way to kick start a night on the town
Explore the back country, on a half day trip to Dead Horse Gap or the Ramshead Range, or a full day trip to Mt Kosciuszko. You’ll take in awe inspiring views, whilst improving your fitness with the elegant art of the kick and glide or the power moves of skating
