Gourmet Restaurant at Crackenback

Great food and atmosphere any time of the day.

Enjoy lunch, brunch, munch...and dinner in our award winning country restaurant. We offer a good variety of fresh, tasty imaginative food with an emphasis on local produce. We are fully licensed with a bar and boast Australia's largest variety of Schnapps.

We serve morning and afternoon teas, our famous scones and blackberry jam is a great interlude while travelling the Alpine Way.

Take a look at some of our menus: snack, lunch and dinner, dessert, and children's menu.

"Few fireplaces could compete with the rip-roaring one that welcomes you at this charming old famliy-run restaurant and craft shop on the road between Jindabyne and Thredbo. There's no potentiousness in the atmosphere, the service or the good honest food, and it's an ideal place to stop off with the kids on the way to the mountains, even if only for good coffee and cakes. At dinner, hot herbed pizza bread keeps out the cold until your Roma tomato, Carrot and coriander soup or smoked salmon lasagne with rocket arrives. The menu makes full use of local trout and goat's cheese and there's always an excellent rack of local Monaro lamb, served simply with a rosemary and beetroot glaze. Vegetarians will enjoy oven-roasted vegie and polenta stack drizzled with good olive oil. Leave room for a crunchy apple crumble."
